This has been a favorite project of mine. I enjoyed participating in Ray Ehly, Jr.’s roadtrip. He took museum delivery (at the Corvette Museum adjacent to the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky) of a brand-new, top of the line Corvette Z06. He then drove it in ONE CONTINOUS loop to “ALL 50” United States. (Yes, Hawaii and Alaska too.)
More please! →This logo was part of the All 50 Corvette Road Trip Project. It was “extracted” from the main logo graphic for better usage on mugs, can coolers, key fobs, etc.
More please! →Sundiata Kata has dedicated his musical career to bringing joy and the magic of music to the community’s children, youth, and adults. He first designed a healing music program for emotionally disturbed children at San Diego Center for Children in 1988 and since then has developed percussion programs for companies, hospitals, hospices, after-school programs, and service organizations. “The heart,” he
More please! →Website design for copywriter & writing consultant Norma-Jean Strickland. Contemporary, yet retro and time-less design focus on antique typewriter keys and graphic featuring the word “idea” along with a background which shows words winding in an around each other. Norma-Jean (as am I) is a “purple fan,” hence the tinting. I’m quite fond and proud of this design.
More please! →Web design for Norma-Jean Strickland, voice-over artist. “NJ” brought me a caricature drawn by artist Joe Schmidt, and wished it to feature prominently in her website design. Home page navigation features comic-book style “word bubbles” and a dynamic “burst” on the vintage microphone calls up a pop-window with voice samples.
More please! →Sadly, due to personal circumstances beyond our control, client forced to abandon this project before completion. I always liked where it was going so I’ve let you have a glance at it.
More please! →Logo design became part of, and a natural off-shoot of the web design. The client wanted a “treasure” (obviously) design theme…there are all kinds of tropical and “piratical” imagery throughout the site and an appropriate logo was needed. Treasure Vacations is a travel company based in San Diego, California which dedicates itself to Honeymoon vacations. They provide all-inclusive trips to beautiful
More please! →I had the pleasure and honor to put together both a logo and magazine ad for jazz guitar great Joe Diorio. I’d done previous work for his webmaster (see “Cash Faucet” post earlier) on behalf of technology giant Hewlett-Packard. This was particularly challenging because the photos I was given to work from were snapshots taken under less than optimal conditions.
More please! →A friend of mine who runs technology giant Hewlett-Packard‘s business IT solutions division approached me wanting to create an ad campaign which featured his idea of a “cash faucet.” He wanted me to help him convey as a metaphor the idea that his division could create cash flow for his customers. This image was the result. The image was revealed
More please! →This is a redesign project. ATS Computers, a San Diego-based custom PC manufacturer, suffered from “old logo syndrome.” Though I don’t believe that a logo has to be redesigned every 5 minutes like many do (why can’t things last sometimes?), this logo was achin’ to be updated. There are two additional “new” versions here: one for the steel plaques affixed
